Apparel factory to start shortly in Killinochchi

SLFP Organizer – Angajan is going to open an apparel unit on an area of ten acres in Killinochchi within a short period. Recently, Member of Parliament – Namal Rajapaksa has laid the foundation for the apparel unit.

The unit is expected to operate in collaboration with the Australian Government. Initially the garment unit will provide employment to one thousand youth. According to Angajan, employment will be extended not only to the youth of the country but also to earlier LTTE militants who have undergone rehabilitation.

The Sri Lankan Government is all set to make an investment in this garment unit so that more employment opportunities can be generated in the country.
