New ispo service: experience-oriented gear test in the snow

The international sport business network, ispo 11, expands its service portfolio: on February 10th to 12th, 2011, immediately after next year's trade show in Munich, the organizers will hold the test event “ispo ON SNOW DEMO”.

International and unassociated retailers will be able to test a wide range of winter sports products for 2012 live and under professional conditions for three days at the Freeski-oriented event at the Hintertux Glacier. 20 winter sports equipment manufacturers, among them many new generation brands, will be on-site offering more than 500 products – from skis and snowboards, winter apparel to accessories.

At the “ispo ON SNOW DEMO” international retailers and dealers who are not linked to any associations will have the opportunity to demo products introduced at the trade show and to network with others in an informative environment. This provides a comprehensive, hands-on overview of new products and innovations, simplifying product selection, and allowing retailers to relate first-hand experiences to their customers.

The primary topic at the “ispo ON SNOW DEMO” will be Freeskiing as a type of action sport. Participants will be able to test the multitude of products offered for this segment on the slopes of the Zillertal Glacier region, on ungroomed runs, in powder snow, or on moguls. In addition, the event offers guided Freeride and Backcountry tours. To ensure that everyone respects the snow and remains safe, the program also includes avalanche beacon training classes. And those who prefer something a little more tranquil can explore the area on a guided snowshoe tour, or enjoy the mountain panorama at the Chill out Area.
