Bureau Veritas organizing WRAP Awareness Program at Tirupur

The Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) program is the world's largest facility certification program for labour-intensive sectors including the apparel, footwear, home textiles, fashion accessories, leather, cashmere, feather and down, silk, printing, hotels, jewellery, furniture, construction materials, food processing, glassware, home accessories, etc.
In order to understand the importance of social compliance and win the international market, WRAP and Bureau Veritas is jointly hosting a seminar in Apparel Hub city Tirupur, India on December 13, 2010 at TEA HALL, No. 62, Appachi Nagar Main Road, Kongu Nagar, Tirupur.
The seminar will cover social issues that organizations are facing, a brief overview of local and national laws, the requirements of WRAP principles, how to establish, maintain and implement an internal social system, and the benefits of being a certified company. Companies involved in international trade business, companies intending to build an international brand, and any parties interested in social compliance should attend this event.
The seminar is expected to have at least 100 participants and it will be inaugurated by Mr. Chandran, Vice President, Tirupur Export Association.
Mr. Avedis H. Seferian- Esg. Director of Compliance Administration, WRAP will be speaking at the seminar.
