Intertextile & CHIC offer crossover of potential buyers
Dec '10
Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics have reworked their product sectors, country and regional pavilions as well as on-site signage in order to accommodate buyers sourcing needs. The fair takes place next year at the China International Exhibition Centre from 30 March – 1 April 2011.

New designations have been included such as the SalonEurope, formerly known as the European Hall, which is a highly visible platform for European suppliers to present their fabrics and textile related products to some 25,000 expected buyers. Today, top cotton and wool manufacturers from Italy, Turkey and the UK are part of the new SalonEurope. Among them are Turkish suppliers Soktas and a Biella group including: Botto Fila SpA, Cotonificio Albini SpA, E.Thomas SpA, Lanificio Fratelli Ormezzano SpA, Lanificio Luigi Colombo SpA, Vitale Barberis Canonico SpA, plus many other suppliers.

Luxury Italian wool producers Pontoglio S.p.A. will be grouped in the new SalonEuope alongside their Italian counterparts. “Branding is very essential in China and for us it is important to be grouped with the Italian mills as this background is very prestigious within the industry,” observed Mrs Antonella Lava, Export Manager. She further noted, ”Chinese buyers, who are our target customers, also find is much easier to locate us at the fair.

With this new area, European companies are able to manage their branding and gain value added benefits through the various promotional campaigns that the trade fair organisers will be focusing on for this special area.

Additional country and region pavilions include Korea, Pakistan and Taiwan as well as a special zone from Japan.

New product sectors target specific buyer groups
Last year, a post-show study performed with a representative sample of attending buyers revealed that most were looking for cotton and wool. Man-made materials as well as knitted fabrics also proved to be popular. Other important features that buyers are looking for are accessories and trend forecasting agents. This year, the fair will be clearly signposted in the above product categories that will ultimately help suppliers target their buyer groups.

Concurrent events offer crossover of potential buyers
Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics takes place during the region's hottest fashion seasons and runs concurrently with China International Clothing and Accessories Fair (CHIC) from 28 – 31 March 2011 as well as Yarn Expo Spring from 31 March – 2 April 2011. Free shuttle bus services will be provided for all three events.
