PGA Authentic to feature Head's luxury cotton apparel

AHEAD, a leading designer and marketer of branded headwear, apparel and golf accessories announced that it is the exclusive supplier of PGA Authentic. The new green grass only line will debut next month at the 58th PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla., in booth 4653, adjacent to the AHEAD booth on the show floor.

PGA Authentic was designed to promote the PGA of America brand and its professionals at the local club level. The line will utilize AHEAD's expertise and innovation in ornamentation to promote both the PGA and the facility on each piece. PGA Authentic will feature performance and luxury cotton apparel, along with extensive headwear and metal accessory collections. In the apparel line, the facility logo will be the most prominent with PGA Authentic branding below the back collar and also on the inside of the collar. In headwear, the facility logo will be on the front and the PGA Authentic branding will be on the back of the headwear and other select locations.

"The launch of PGA Authentic represents an exciting opportunity for PGA members to distinguish our brand of professionalism to their customers, while at the same time focusing foremost on the logo of their respective facilities," said PGA President Allen Wronowski. "The new line provides another means to bring those 'PGA' letters to the forefront of customers' minds with AHEAD's strong collection of products that brings great value to the green grass golf shop."

PGA Authentic will be sold to green grass golf shops only by AHEAD's sales representatives. Golf professionals can merchandise PGA Authentic separately in the golf shop by utilizing an attractive branded fixture provided by AHEAD that displays the entire collection.

"PGA professionals understand the importance of branding themselves to consumers by promoting the PGA and the value they as golf professionals bring to the facility," said Jeff Waller, AHEAD's vice president of sales. "This is why I anticipate many PGA members signing up for PGA Authentic. Also, consumers will only be able to purchase this product at green grass facilities. So like Allen Wronowski said, the facility logo comes first and foremost with the reassurance of the PGA brand."

In addition to green grass golf shop exclusivity, PGA Authentic offers incentives to golf professionals enrolled in the Golf Retirement Plus and also to the 41 PGA Sections. Sales efforts will launch after the line debuts at the PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 27-29, 2011.
