Motherhood Maternity provides relief to expectant mothers
Jan '11
If you're a living, breathing woman you most probably dread bathing suit shopping. If you're an expectant woman with an ever-expanding waistline, the word "dread" might not even come close. That annual fitting room ritual of baring it all under bright lights, and exposing one's pale, post-winter self is enough to send a person back into hibernation. However, the redesigned, refit, and overall revamped 2011 maternity bathing suit collections from A Pea in the Pod and Motherhood Maternity will soften the blow.

To the maternity customer, fit is a top priority. Side ruching perfectly accommodates the expectant woman's belly without any unflattering bagging or sagging. The addition of new swim cups adds bustline support and better bust shaping. Adjustable and removable straps, and mix-and-match swim separates give her the ability to truly personalize her fit. She can customize her coverage by choosing from a variety of tops and bottoms. Bikinis, hipsters, and briefs offer increasing coverage, while a variety of necklines cater to every woman's comfort level.

For the mom-to-be concerned with function and fashion, the new swimwear collections feature contemporary silhouettes, take-notice details, and trendy prints. Popular bandeau styling and one-piece cuts look fresh in stripes, retro dots, tie-dye, animal and metallic prints. Sequins, ruffles and hardware details are the final touches on the perfect maternity bathing suit. To complete her swim wardrobe, A Pea in the Pod and Motherhood Maternity also present full lines of beach cover-ups in a wide range of shapes, lengths, fabrications and prints.

"Bathing suit shopping is not easy for anyone," said Lisa Hendrickson, Chief Merchandising Officer of A Pea in the Pod and Motherhood Maternity. "But with our selection of styles, prints, fit options and knowledgeable fit specialists, Mom-to-Be's experience will be one she might actually enjoy."
