Ricky Barnes to debut Mossimo's G/FORE coloured glove

G/FORE, a new company from fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, announced it has signed an exclusive glove deal with PGA Tour player Ricky Barnes.

Whilst the G/FORE product line will not be available until March, Barnes will debut the coloured glove, wearing one of any of the 13 available colours, at the Sony Open, January 10-16, 2011, in Oahu, Hawaii.

The contract, finalized as Barnes finished his second full season on the PGA TOUR ranked 75th in the world and 64th in the FedEx Cup standings, ensures that Barnes will exclusively wear the G/FORE glove on the PGA Tour.

"I am excited to add colour to my PGA Tour play," said Ricky Barnes, PGA Tour player. "The partnership with Mossimo Giannulli's G/FORE acknowledges my ability to uniquely express myself without disrupting my game."

"The evolutionary style of G/FORE and the unique play of Barnes is a perfect match. He is preserving the long-standing legacy of style rooted in golf and extending it to the next generation of players."

G/FORE will unveil the entire line of 13 coloured golf gloves in an official exhibition at the 57th Annual PGA Merchandise Show, January 27-29, 2011, in Orlando, Florida. Nearly 40,000 attending PGA Professionals, top golf brands and distributors, and golf retailers from around the world will experience the dramatic influence of colour on golf's critical accessory.

To accentuate the green of the fairways, G/FORE will release a 13-colour palette including: Onyx, Espresso, Midnight, Crimson, Berry, Charcoal, Tangerine, Lemon, Blush, Azure, Sky, Clover and Wisteria. G/FORE's finely tailored glove features hand-selected grade AA cabretta leather, a boiled-felt, embroidered logo, matching tonal trim and a soft pile velcro closure. The glove conforms with USGA rules.

Channeling his fashion sense and tireless aesthetic, Mossimo Giannulli leads G/FORE innovation by blending his sensibility for trend and style with his penchant for golf.

G/FORE is a privately held California-based golf brand under Mossimo Giannulli's Dirty Bird Productions (DBP) management group. Giannulli founded the billion dollar clothing company Mossimo Inc. in 1987 and brokered a first-ever designer-exclusive distribution deal with major mass merchant and Minneapolis-based Target Stores in 2000.
