Canadians recognizes Mark's Work's refreshed identity

As a leader in industrial apparel, Mark's Work Wearhouse has always been a well-known source for work wear. Over the years, Canadians have also come to recognize the company as a clothing and footwear retailer at the forefront of men's and women's casual wear.
The new tagline, “Smart Clothes. Everyday Living,” calls attention to the company's continued focus on quality, comfort and innovation as well as its established commitment to the smart-looking, everyday styles of both men and women, for both work and play.
“'Smart Clothes' speaks to the innovation and quality you've come to expect from Mark's and hints at the smart and stylish looks you'll walk away wearing,” said Michael Strachan, Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing. “Combined with 'Everyday Living,' the new tagline opens customers up to the world of fashion and innovative features available within our doors.”
In addition to creating new tagline alternatives, Strategic Name Development assisted in the rebranding initiative by conducting target market research to help select the new tagline as well as gauge consumer interest in the new, abbreviated Mark's company name.
“In combination with the name change, we saw an opportunity with the tagline to relay the future that Mark's has been successfully constructing, while holding on to the foundation of what turned Mark's into what it is today,” said William Lozito, Chief Branding Officer of Strategic Name Development.
“Whether you're shopping for durable work boots or something that will make you look good on a first date, 'Smart Clothes. Everyday Living' redefines Mark's as the smarter source for all your clothing needs.”
