Turkish kidswear brand receives Irish investment

Bücürük, a well-known kid's wear firm from Turkey which deals in global brands, has inked a partnership deal with Kerten, an Irish private equity fund.

This partnership deal would further boost the company's position in the retail sector, with fresh investments for setting up new outlets and addition of new export markets, which would raise the firm's capital and support its long-term strategy.

The firm based in Merter near Istanbul, a textile manufacturing and wholesale hub, presently employs 290 workers in its 43 wholly-owned outlets. Besides this, the firm even sells its products through 101 franchise outlets and 166 local and 82 international shop in shop outlets.

Due to the partnership agreement and by a streamlining process, the firm proposes to establish itself as a top domestic brand, and is also considering expansion in other global markets.

Further, while the firm vends products under its personalized brands and it even possesses licence rights for local marketing of other brands like Toy Story, Angels Friends, Caillou, Gormeti, Tinker Bell, Spider-Man, Cars, Barcode Kitties, Mickey Mouse, Tom & Jerry and Scooby Doo.
