Lukas Podolski exclusively reveals his secret on how he stays comfortable underneath when playing on the pitch. The world known German football player now wears the adidas Performance Essentials underwear and shows off his improved comfort in the newly launched Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
Developed and tested in collaboration with professional athletes, the adidas underwear garments focus on functionality and maximum comfort. Special performance technologies and the unique essentials cut make the collection suitable for the everyday athlete and endow the products with a multisport purpose. The collection consists of two lines, active seamless and active cotton underwear.
The active seamless line has no stitching and is made of a light and breathable fabric that doesn't shift, resulting in best fit. ClimaLite technologies keep the athlete cool by extracting heat and sweat from the body. A similar amount of comfort is offered by the active cotton underwear through reduced lines and the ClimaLite Cotton technology.
The fabric feels as soft as cotton, while enhancing the body's natural temperature regulating functions. Both lines are especially designed for sport but are also adequate for everyday use. Just like the fabrics, the design of the new underwear is clean, dynamic and fresh. The range comes in timeless black and white, seasonal colours such as radiant pink and blue mix up the selection.

The spring/summer 2011 collection hits retail in January 2011, including adidas Sport Performance stores, the adidas online store, leading e-retailers and selected sports retailers around the world. Apparel prices range from approximately 18 Euro for CC Boxer shorts, 23 Euro for the seamless Underwear Tank and up to 35 Euro for the seamless Underwear tight.
