Eurovet steps to 'Greener' Interfilière Hong Kong – Mode Lingerie

Organized by Eurovet, the world's leading lingerie and beachwear trade show organizer and supported by Hong Kong Intimate Apparel and Industries' Association (HKIAIA), the fifth Interfilière Hong Kong – Mode Lingerie will be held on March 30-31, 2011 at Hall 5G, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

This year, the leading sourcing platform for intimates and beachwear has taken a new name, “Interfilière Hong Kong – Mode Lingerie 2011” to put forward the 20-year old world renowned brand "Interfilière". The annual trade event for world class intimate apparel leaders this year has taken a “green” look with the aim at fostering green behavior of the industry. Not only do all pamphlets are printed with recycled paper, but greener behavior are also promoted with questionnaires sent to exhibitors to study their green initiatives in business and product development.

The returned questionnaires showed that the exhibitors recognized the importance of “greener” behavior and about one fourth of them had already had “greener” initiatives and policies implemented. In terms of “greener” production, ecological fabrics such as organic cotton, bamboo and recycled polyester fabrics, are introduced and Oeko-Tex certificate is obtained to guarantee an exemption of harmful products in the fabrics. In addition, exhibitors have started investing in recycling system and power saving equipment to minimize pollution.

Interfilière Hong Kong – Mode Lingerie has formed a strong strategic relationship with Hong Kong Intimate Apparel and Industries' Association (HKIAIA) for five years. This alliance has proven that this trade event is truly the authoritative platform in the region for the lingerie and beachwear industry. It is also an annual international event with the highest quality as only industry-related visitors are invited. There were over 3,600 qualified and selected visitors from 60 countries all over the world at the Interfilière Hong Kong – Mode Lingerie last year. Among these visitors, 75% were decision makers, 54% were manufacturers and 18% were from organized distributions.

Eurovet believes that Interfilière Hong Kong – Mode Lingerie continues to provide unparalleled business opportunities and connect the industry experts worldwide. It is estimated to have over 170 exhibitors this year from Europe and Asia showcasing lingerie aspects with the highest quality – from fibers to fabrics, laces, embroideries, latest innovations and technology to accessories for lingerie and beachwear.

With the phenomenal success of the past four consecutive years, Eurovet has proven that Hong Kong is the important strategic location for lingerie trade shows. Not only is Hong Kong the hub for advanced intimate apparel manufacturing technology, but as Asia's World City, it is also perfect meeting point for buyers and exhibitors from around the world. This year, two pavilions will be set up: the French Pavilion featuring brands like Les Tissages Perrin, Brunet International, Satab, Seram, Noyon and Broderies Deschamps etc., the Thai Pavilion featuring brands Textile Prestige, Capital Tricot. Femina Lace etc.
