Carter's achieves record level of sales and profitability

Carter's, Inc., the largest branded marketer in the United States of apparel exclusively for babies and young children, reported its fourth quarter and fiscal 2010 results.

“Earnings in the fourth quarter were comparable to last year, despite the negative impact of higher product costs. For the year, we achieved a record level of sales and profitability. We expect continued growth in sales in 2011, though earnings are expected to be lower due to historically high cotton prices and rising labor and freight costs.”
