Daewon Textile Vietnam, a subsidiary of the Korea-based Daewon Group is to open its first ever wool fabric store in HCM City's Vincom Centre on March 5.
The retail outlet would offer premium quality items made out of wool to its customers. It would showcase several varieties of cashmere and silk, washable and easy-care and pure wool fabrics in about 700 different designs, under the Pro Cantex label.
The living standard of the people in Vietnam is getting better, which has resulted in a rise in the demand for suits made from premium quality materials.
The firm believes that as the buyers from fussy markets like the US, EU and Japan too have liked their products, the customers in Vietnam would also prefer them.
In addition to the present one, the firm further intends to launch other retail outlets in the HCM City and Hanoi, over the next two years.
The firm each year procures sheep wool from Australia and then processes it into three million metres of wool fabric which is supplied to reputed wholesalers like Peerless Clothing International Inc. in the US, Sumitomo and Mitsui Corporation trading houses in Japan and to Marks & Spencer in England.
The firm was established in Dong Nai Province's Nhon Trach 1 Industrial Zone in 2002, at an investment of US $30 million.
