Goodyear will become top tier fashion leisure brand

Despite an improvement in the overall economic environment, challenges such as intense competition, escalating raw material prices, lower demand for fabrics and others continue to plague the industry. As such, the Group has decided to venture into related business opportunities that offer higher returns on capital deployed as compared to its traditional business segments in the manufacturing of quality functional knitted fabric.
Despite the challenges to its traditional business segments, Qian Feng possesses certain competitive advantages that give the Group an edge in the transition into a brand management specialist. Qian Feng's strong relationship with over 300 Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) is an important resource to ensure the quality of Goodyear's fashion products which in turn is critical to the success of both Qian Feng and Goodyear's foray into China leisure fashion market.
By becoming a downstream brand manager, the Group hopes to transform itself into a vertically integrated leading player in the leisure fashion industry. The Group believes that the venturing into the brand management business will not have significant financial impacts in the year 2011.
