Vicunha under spotlights in Colombiatex

It´s already a tradition. Each year, all visitors to Colombiatex – the most important textile tradeshow in the Americas – await the Vicunha Jeanswear show presented at the fair. It only takes a few minutes past the beginning of the show's soundtrack and the area around Vicunha's booth becomes crowded.

Colombiatex was took place in January 2011.

With an open booth and a super-clean look, Vicunha took to Colombia over 300 pieces to showcase the latest trends in fashion Jeanswear with different shapes and washes. The idea is to show the versatility of fabrics and Vicunha's variety of washes offered to its customers.

Located in the yellow pavilion – the denim textile industries' pavilion – Vicuña is one of the tradeshow's major highlights, mainly for its Jeanswear fashion shows with performances three times a day. The fashion show presents items made by labels and stylists who partner with the company, such as João Pimenta, Teresa Santos, Alexandre Herchcovitch, Fernando Pires, Carina Duek, Reserva, Zeferino, Doping, One, Zoomp and RK Denim.

In the booth, customers were introduced to the new collection and among the most successful items we can highlight the CARBOLumen line with the new colours of Spears and Alanis, the Kravitz line - a smash hit in the market, and the Stones, in its brown color version. The new super-lightweight jeans were also introduced: Cliff and Fergie, the premium jeans Lars, Lars Black, Lynn, Denzel, Morgan and Turner were also highly requested by customers. In denim, the spotlight was the super-black Andrews, the double-faced Penelope, Aniston, and Loren Cameron, satins such as Ypoá and Kidman, and items with Jeanswear aspect such as Hanks, Mayer and Baldwin. The items with prints were also blasting hits, especially Hicks, Gorky, Nash and Modigliani.

Colombiatex this year has launched the Denim Review, a unique and exclusive area for Denim where 12 of the largest producers showcased their material. Obviously Vicunha attended and presented participants with dozens of pieces with the latest trends in denim and twill washes.
