Mar '11
FITS Socks Co, the maker of the best FITting socks available, is announcing the release of seven new designs for spring and summer sports. FITS understands what outdoor enthusiasts and retailers require and have designed products with NEW proprietary performance knitting techniques to improve fundamental fit, feel, and function. FITS is a new brand, guaranteeing the best quality combined with local manufacturing in the USA. This brand is one to make note of.

The earliest socks (8th century BC) dated back to animal skin and matted hair that tied at the ankles. Fast-forward to 2011 and Crescent Mills makers of the FITS Brand, and you will find over a century in knitting. FITS manufactures their socks in the oldest operating hosiery mill in the U.S., going back to 1902, giving FITS a strong and storied company history, technical expertise and long-held knowledge of fit and comfort. The family-owned company has always been committed to its vision and protecting the jobs of their 160 employees.

With the average person taking 3,000 to 5,000 steps a day, your sock has to be tough and comfortable. It also has to be made from the best material possible. All FITS ski socks are constructed from two-ply, compact-spun, ultra-fine Merino Wool with a micron count of 18.5 microns (the next level is cashmere), providing the ultimate blend of softness and durability.

Their F3 Technology delivers a unique form FIT thanks to a deep heel pocket, specialized toe seam, and contoured leg - which keeps FITS socks firmly in place. This means no more bunching, hot spots, or friction, regardless of whether you are hiking, running, camping, biking and active sports.

Based on a study from Gore-Tex, the average foot puts off up to 200ml of perspiration every hour. Considering this, you can understanding moisture management and proper 'fit' in a running or other athletic sports is critical to comfort and performance.

“All the feedback we are getting on these new products indicates we have created something that everyone wants and needs. Our dedication to quality has led us to develop the best socks on the market.” – Wood Talkington – Brand Manager, FITS Sock Co.
