Lindex opens the doors of its first store in Poland. The store is opening in a popular shopping centre in the city of Walbrzych, located in southern Poland. The new store in Poland is a part of the fashion chain's international expansion, which now means that Lindex has stores in 13 countries.

Lindex is continuing with its successful expansion and estimates that it shall open 10 new stores in Poland in 2011.

- Poland is a large and exciting market with many fashion-conscious women. We have had some extremely positive experiences from our stores in neighbouring countries such as the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This gives us confidence in continuing with our expansion, says Göran Bille, CEO at Lindex.

The new store in Poland has a floor space of 650 square metres and was designed and furnished by Lindex' own concept department. Lindex is working steadily to take the store concept one step further by using new effects in colour and shape, as well as making things simple for the store customer. The store offers both ladies and children inspiring and affordable fashion collections.

Lindex' e-commerce has already been in place in Poland since January when the company opened its Lindex Shop Online in all 27 EU countries.

- This is a very exciting investment, as Lindex is becoming more international than ever before. Shoppers from every EU country can now buy our fashion. We have noticed a demand for Lindex' affordable fashion collections on several markets. Many women enjoy shopping on the Internet and Lindex is aimed specifically toward women with an interest in fashion, says Göran Bille, CEO at Lindex.

With more than 420 stores in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the Baltic States, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia and the Middle East, Lindex is one of the leading fashion chains in northern Europe. In 2011, Lindex Shop Online was launched throughout the entire EU at www.lindex.com The Lindex business concept is to offer inspiring and affordable fashions. The assortment includes several different concepts within ladies' underwear, ladies accessories, children's clothing and cosmetics. Lindex is part of the Finnish-listed Stockmann conglomerate.
