Revenue surges 123.5% to RMB 1,408.2 mn at Boshiwa

While Baby2 and Dr. Frog offers children's apparel, footwear and accessories for children from high income group and mid to higher class. To cater for a variety of customers' needs, the Group also has a number of licensed brands, such as Harry Potter, Prince of Tennis, NBA, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, Bob the Builder and Thomas and Friends, which offer a wide range of children products and as a result, successfully enlarge the Group's customer base.

Each of the proprietary and licensed brands has its own product design and development team who gathers information on market trends and customer preferences to design and develop products together with their professionalism. Such capabilities not only strengthen the Group's core competitive strengths in product design and development, but also enhance its brands' leading position in children's product market in China. Furthermore, the above said capabilities help the Group to continually attract new licensed brands, strengthen its cooperation with the existing licensed brands, and further drive its future growth and sustainability.

Prospects

By virtue of the Group's diversified sales network established in 2010, the Group strives to further strengthen its leading position in mid to high end children's product market in China, by means of expanding its sales platform to other markets and focusing on developing innovative sales channels such as Boshiwa 365 stores and flagship stores. In January 2011, the Group opened its biggest 365 flagship store in Shanghai, which introduced a playground named "Boshiwa BABYLAND", with advanced entertainment facilities specific for children that implanted from Japan, to tailor for the different needs and consumption habits among parents and their children.

Going forward, Chairman Zhong concluded, "We are optimistic about the future growth potentials of children's product market in China, given the country has over 250 million children under 14 years of age, representing one of the world's largest countries in terms of number of children , where is enjoying rapid economic growth and middle-class boom.

“To capture such huge market opportunities, Boshiwa strives to maintain its advantage at tier-one cities, and to seek for the business opportunities at the tier-two and tier-three cities. We also strive to sustain the growth in revenue and profit, and provide returns to shareholders with excellent performance."
