Second Time Around announces new CEO, Bill Soncini
Apr '11
Second Time Around, a consignment retailer of apparel, accessories and shoes, announced today that Bill Soncini has been promoted from President and COO to Chief Executive Officer, replacing Jeffrey Casler, who will remain an active shareholder of the company.

As CEO, Soncini is responsible for setting the overall direction and strategy for Second Time Around as well as real estate development, store operations, merchandising, marketing, and human resources.

"I am incredibly honored to lead Second Time Around as CEO," remarked Bill Soncini. "We have great momentum and enormous opportunities in front of us. I look forward to working with our management team, and field associates, to deliver a world-class customer and consignor experience at our stores, and to grow our brand to its full potential."

Soncini is a retail veteran with 30 years of diverse operations, sales and merchandising experience. From 2007 to 2010, he was Senior Vice President of Everything But Water, a nationwide swim and resort wear women's specialty retailer, and previously held executive positions with retailers including Rag Shop, G&G Retail, FAO Schwarz, Natural Wonders, Kay-Bee Toy and Victoria's Secret.

"Bill is a gifted leader and retail operator, and in a very short time has made a significant impact on improving performance and results. Add to that his energy, contagious optimism, and intuitive understanding of how to deliver a successful retail experience, and Second Time Around has a very talented executive leading the company," said Brian Colton, a Board member and Managing Partner of Generation Equity Investors, an investor in Second Time Around.
