Taiwan's leading garment manufacturing firm, Makalot Industrial Co., with a year on year rise of 7.6 percent earned NT$1.24 billion or US$40 million in sales revenue during March this year, while its total revenue for the first quarter of current year registered a year on year rise of 7.9 percent over corresponding period last year, to grow to NT$3.57 billion or US$115.16 million, the company sources revealed.
The company booked export orders for 2.04 million dozens of garments during the first quarter, while the order volume for the second quarter is estimated to be at around 2-2.1 million dozens. It is being envisaged that the company may continue to grow significantly even in the third quarter as it is likely to get considerable number of orders from Japan.
Makalot earned NT$14.126 billion or US$455.68 million in revenues last year, which was 6.4 percent higher than its earnings for previous year.
