As this year's L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival drew to a close, the Finders Keepers market on March 26 and 27 provided a perfect opportunity to encourage forward thinking fashionistas to pledge their support for ethically made clothing.
To promote awareness of its label and accredited brands, Ethical Clothing Australia hosted a Vintage Photobooth within the bustling market space, where shoppers could have their photo taken as a keepsake of the day.
With a choice of pledge boards to hold up in the photobooth that featured various statements relating to ethical clothing, as well as an array of fashion props to wear including hats and feather boas, Finders Keepers shoppers had loads of fun getting dressed up and pledging to make a difference with their purchasing power.
With more than 600 people visiting the photobooth, and in excess of 400 photos taken on the day, Ethical Clothing Australia's media and communications coordinator Eloise Bishop said they were thrilled with the response.
“It's really encouraging to see so many people pledging to support ethically accredited clothing. And while this was a fairly fun and light hearted approach, it was a terrific way for us to highlight the label so people can look out for it on their next shopping expedition,” Eloise said.
