Lynette Tyner, Fashion Designer known for her contemporary designs as she uses hints of denim in several of the pieces. She will be hosting an event to help raise money in support of Denim Day LA/USA on Wednesday, April 27th, 2011 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

Located in her intimate design studio Downtown LA. Denim Day is an official day that people all across the world wear jeans as a visible means of protest against misconceptions that surround sexual assault. This day was created when a young lady was raped (wearing a pair of jeans), and her perpetrator was arrested and was prosecuted. He was convicted of rape and sentenced to jail. He appealed the case it was over turned the judge stated “because the victim wore very, very tight jeans, she had to help him remove them, and by removing the jeans it was no longer rape but consensual sex.”

The Lynette Tyner team has created a special “STOP” DENIM BAG that will be available to purchase for the day of event and proceeds will go to Denim Day LA. Lynette has worked with several organizations supporting this cause Children of the night located in Van Nuys. She feels “We are all accountable for our youth and if we don't show them we care we are saying we don't care about our future leaders of America”.
In her small way she uses fashion to make a stand.

Lynette Tyner's unique collection of dresses, skirts, jumpers and handbags captures attention with her one of a kind use of denim. However, you would never know it's denim until looked at closely or told by someone. She has a way of intricately designing each piece to make denim work for all design concepts from alluring-professional attire to a Red Carpet cocktail dress.

Join Lynette Tyner on Denim Day, Wednesday, April 27, 2011, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at 1837 South Main St., Los Angeles, CA 90015. Support Denim Day by wearing a pair of jeans and view her Spring Summer collection.
