For spring / summer 2011, Henri Lloyd is proud to announce the arrival of their new Addison Jacket.

With the sunny season fast approaching, Henri Lloyd has applied their expertise to create a dry wax garment that is more suitable for summer wear.

This fully lined bright yellow hooded style jacket is Made in England from the finest British Millerain dry wax fabric and features contrast sail stitch detail, rope style drawcord around the hood, and an adjustable back belt to nip in the waist and enhance the gently flared hem shape.

For spring / summer 2011 Henri Lloyd have looked to past iconic pieces and trends for influence, and in doing so have created a modern, yet timeless collection in keeping with their true to the sea roots.

The ocean can be an inhospitable workplace. Men who worked at sea over a century ago were exposed to the elements with little protection. Survival was dependant on a hardy spirit and good clothing. These early seafarers devised a way of weatherproofing their crude canvas smocks by impregnating fabrics with oils and waxes.

Developing these principles using improved waxing techniques to high quality cotton poplin, Henri Lloyd have applied their expertise to create dry wax garments more suitable for summer wear, yet still captures individual character as the garments age with wear over time.

Expect to see this jacket on many a celebrity come festival season!
