Metropark goes bankrupt; to shut all stores

Metropark USA Inc. has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and has decided to shutdown all its 69 stores spread over 21 States.
Stores of the Los Angeles based company have started offering discount of 20 to 40 per cent on all products, including clothing labels from Diesel, BCBG, Rock & Republic and True Religion.
The bankruptcy is being attributed to a sharp fall in sales during the global economic meltdown.
