PDS Multinational at the forefront with PPE production

PDS Multinational Group, which manages supply chains for major apparel brands and retailers worldwide, is at the forefront with PPEs (personal protective equipment). PDS is producing protective suits (coveralls), 3 PLY disposable face mask, medical sterilised surgical mask, N95/FFP2/KN95 masks for both medical and non-medical use, latex and nitrile examination gloves, and googles—all needed for protection from coronavirus.

As on 15th of April, 2020, PDS has booked orders for these PPE products valued over $66 million. It has supplied over 100 million facial masks and more than 5 million gloves to around 23 public and private sector clients. These products have been supplied from more than 50 partner factories located in 3 countries. The company is also in the process of supplying over 5 million PPE kits for various reputed clients. 

PDS' protective suits contain 100 per cent polyester and are made using polypropylene spunbound PE film coated nonwoven. These coveralls are anti-bacterial, anti-static, waterproof and breathable. Accessories like trims, tape, zippers meet national standards. The suits also meet standards EN 14126:2003, EN 14605:2005+A1:2009.

The 3 PLY disposable face mask comes in 17*9.5 cm with ear strap made from spun bonded and melt blown nonwoven, in accordance with FFP1 standard. Medical sterilised surgical masks are 17*17 cm with ear strap type, also made from spun bonded and melt blown nonwoven, meeting Type II R standard.

The N95/FFP2/KN95 face masks are produced both in cup cover type and folding type with head or ear strap. These masks can filter more than 95 per cent of non-oil particles. The masks for non-medical use meet FPP2: EN149:2001+A1:2009, N95: NIOSH 29CFR1910.134, and KN95: GB 2626—2006 standards, while those for medical use adhere to FPP2: EN14683—2014, N95: ASTM F2100-2004, and KN95: GB 19083—2010 standards.
