Ralph Lauren hires senior executives for leadership team

Ralph Lauren Corporation, a global leader in clothing, marketing and distribution of premium lifestyle products, has appointed two senior executives to solidify its leadership team in support of its Way Forward Plan. Jonathan Bottomley will be leading enterprise-wide marketing of the brand and Tom Mendenhall will be heading all men's brand functions.
 
Bottomley has been tapped as chief marketing officer, which is a newly created role in the company. He will be responsible for developing Ralph Lauren's brand voice, leading the global marketing team and forming cut-through marketing strategies across the company's brands.
 
Mendenhall has been named brand president, Men's Polo, Purple Label and Double RL. In this newly created role, all men's brand functions will be reporting to Mendenhall, including design and merchandising, and he will be charged with maximising brand strength to improve sales growth.

Bottomley joins Ralph Lauren from Vice Media, where he served as chief strategy officer. Mendenhall joins Ralph Lauren from Tom Ford International, where he worked as chief operating officer for more than a decade, working alongside Tom Ford to build the brand from its inception.
