Reitmans Limitée Q1 FY21 sales down to $105 mn

Reitmans Limitée, a Canadian women's specialty apparel retailer, has posted sales decline to $104.7 million (Canadian dollars) in its first quarter (Q1) for fiscal 2021 ended on May 2, 2020 compared to sales of $185.1 million in same period last year. Company incurred a net loss during the quarter to $74.6 million (Q1 FY20: $12.6 million).
Gross profit for the quarter fell to $30.9 million ($101.8 million). Selling and distribution expenses were $85.0 million ($102.3 million). Results from operating activities for the quarter were a loss of $83.5 million ($13.1 million).
