Roark Revival and La Jolla Group have entered into a collaboration which provides Roark with the tools, staffing, financial management and structure to scale their business seamlessly.

“Roark, an emerging lifestyle brand, will remain its own entity with complete control of the brand, while La Jolla Group will earn equity in Roark, but remain a minority and non-controlling shareholder,” a press release stated.

Under the joint venture, La Jolla Group will provide back-end operational support and expertise, including finance, accounting, logistics, technology, HR, planning and sourcing.

Roark will continue to lead sales, product (M&D) and marketing with the support of La Jolla Group's sophisticated infrastructure.

Roark's evolving storyline is brought to life in product inspired by the brand's travels to remote areas of the world, in search of Roark.

“Operational support and excellence will enable the brand to stay on the road focusing on exploration, storytelling, product enhancements and sales,” the press release added.

"This partnership allows us to thrive operationally, while remaining in control of our own destiny and brand and it's a turbo boost for one of the most challenging pillars of a small business," Roark founder Ryan Hitzel said.

"The partnership is a result of observations, from both Ryan and myself, of a highly dynamic retail climate thirsty for small brands to help bring diversity on the floor, but still expecting the sophisticated execution of larger brands," La Jolla Group CEO, Daniel Neukomm too said.

La Jolla Group has a similar partnership with the activewear brand Spiritual Gangster, and is the apparel licensee for O'Neill Clothing in the USA, Metal Mulisha and FMF.

The Roark collections are inspired by the images, people, textiles and thoughts collected along the course of Roark's adventure, and was founded in 2010.

La Jolla Group is a premier active-lifestyle apparel company with a strong operational backbone, and licenses both domestically and globally for some of the most iconic names in surf and moto.

La Jolla applies its industry-dominating core competencies in finance, production, design, marketing, sales and distribution to refine its diversified roster of business activities. (AR)
