UL holds technical seminar at NIFT Bangalore campus

Experts in safety science, UL held a technical seminar on 'Quality Assurance in Apparel, Home Furnishing, Toys and Accessory industry' for students of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bangalore. Experts addressed topics like regulations in international market, testing requirements and reasons for product recalls and corrective actions.

The seminar aimed at creating an insight into global best practices and the need for adhering to quality and regulations to create solutions that will enhance the textile, toys and leather manufacturing industries.

Dr. Alaguraj Arumugam, consumer testing manager and Ritesh Niyogi, sales manager, both from UL, shared their knowledge with students on the importance of quality control and relevance of responsible sourcing. (AR)
