Apparel retailer Pex revamps wholesale website

UK's children's hosiery brand and babywear supplier Pex debuted its revamped wholesale website with added search capabilities to help independent retailers make the perfect purchase.
“The website features Pex's fresh new babywear brand identity and advanced browser tools that make searching for items by gender, age, size and colour quick and easy,” a Pex press release stated.
“Wholesale customers will be able to shop classic knitwear, hand-finished smocked dresses, tots fashion, exquisite christening or occasion wear and stunning shoe, hosiery and accessory ranges,” it added.
The website complements Pex's UK and Eire sales team which will continue to support customers' forward orders for its pre-season fashion lines.
“The new website design is built on the latest internet security platform and easy 'Sage pay' online ordering protocols,” the supplier informed.
John Norton, managing director at Pex said, “We launched our first wholesale website in 2011 and it has been crucial in promoting our in-season sales and growing our international business.”
“Although the majority of our sales are in the UK and Eire we have found our classic British style is also popular with customers across the globe including the Middle East and Australia,” he too added.
“It is important to keep our brand and offer relevant so we have invested significantly in the website redesign and upgrade,” Norton also informed.
Marie Tolan, general manager at Pex too said, “We wanted to give our wholesale customers an enjoyable online shopping experience making it easier for our customers to navigate and place orders.”
“All our exclusive designs are chosen for their design, quality, value and 'baby-ah' factor with the sole objective of helping our customers make the perfect purchase,” Tolan remarked.
Founded in Leicester in 1935, Pex is the UK's children's sock and tight brand, with over 50 per cent of the children's branded hosiery market.
It maintains the largest stock of children's hosiery in the UK with over one million pairs of socks and tights available from the brand's Midland's based distribution centre.
In addition to hosiery, Pex branded products include school uniform, babywear, special occasion wear such as christening gowns and a huge selection of accessories including baby shoes and bibs.
Pex brand products are currently sold to over 1,200 retailers throughout the UK and Eire in addition to customers across the EU, Scandinavia, the Middle East, USA and Australia. (AR)
