The India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) is one of the leading Asian jewellery exhibitions held annually in India. It is hosted by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) , an apex body to promote exports of gems and jewellery from India, and is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.

GJEPC organized the first IIJS in 1985 with 25 participants. The vision was to provide a platform to showcase the best of Indian Jewellery and create a dynamic environment to boost gem and Jewellery exports. This year IIJS completes 23 years.

Over the years IIJS has gained immense popularity, IIJS 2000 had over 150 participants and more than 15,000 visitors (traders, retailers, Jewellery manufacturers and equipment manufacturers). International exhibitors from countries like Italy, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand and others had also participated. Miller Freeman-Asia was the co-organizer for IIJS from 1996-2000.

The show, since it began in 1985, has matured and is now ready to evolve further and emerge as one of the most important Jewellery events of the region. IIJS today is primarily a trade show conducted on a much larger, broader scale and with a much greater focus on trading opportunities. It increases awareness and helps establish & strengthen relationships among different segments of the industry. The new version of the show has been fixed for the next three years to help consolidate the show in its new incarnation.
