The J&K Handicrafts (S&E) Corporation has been set up to boost the economic status of the artisans craftsmen upto 1984-85.The Corporation has been earning profits but subsequently the Corporation could not make profits
because of the various reasons. During recent years i.e. since 2001 onwards the Corporation is again indicating positive signs of the growth.
There is a significant increase in the turn over and evenue generation since 2001, the Corporation management is confident that in next three to four years the Corporation will again turn to be a profit making Organization. Various
measures have been proposed by the Corporation for boosting sales, which would certainly bring revolutionary changes in the Organization.
