EasyMedia now supports Konica Minolta spectrodensitometers

EasyMedia, the RIP module for colour calibration and profile creation from Caldera, now supports the Konica Minolta FD-5BT and FD-7 spectrodensitometers. This is expected to boost ability of printers to initiate high quality colour profiling across devices, while encouraging printers to adopt repeatability and robustness in their colour management processes.

EasyMedia is a step-by-step colour calibration wizard and ICC profile creator for print shops of all sizes and allows users to fine-tune their colour management for optimum stability and consistency across their output.

According to Caldera, fewer reprints are required and brand colours can be hit more easily as colour standards like G7, Fogra, ISO 12647-2 or -7 become achievable with the EasyMedia.

“This is particularly crucial for printers using a multi-process production environment, as well as those supplying retail and blue-chip clients, while consistency between print devices can be guaranteed, critical for users of multiple machines and print clusters,” the company observed.
