Sri Lankan apparel manufacturer Hela Clothing has teamed up with Microsoft to embrace digital transformation and in the process also revitalise the apparel industry. Hela Clothing has adopted
Microsoft’s Office 365 and Hyper-V platforms, in a bid to shift to a more digitally enhanced manufacturing and also deliver long term digital solutions.

"Businesses that embrace digital transformation generate materially more operating income each year than those who do not," Microsoft Sri Lanka managing director Brian Kealey was quoted as saying by Sri Lankan media.

"Focusing on digital transformation with Microsoft’s secure and comprehensive cloud-enabled platforms has played a crucial role to our success," Thilina Samarasinghe, Hela Clothing group head of IT added. "Now that Microsoft has reduced our capex on server hardware and increased real-time communication, productivity at Hela Clothing is at an all-time high." (AR)
