Stoll displays knitting software tools at ITMA 2015

Stoll Software Solutions displayed innovative software tools for more transparency, efficiency and economical pattern and knitting processes at ITMA 2015.
According to Stoll, the knitting process is divided into five main points; M1plus; Grading for Knitting System (GKS); Production Planning System (PPS); Enhanced knit control (EKC) and Knit and Wear Technique Templates.
M1plus tools from Stoll help define linking-off technique for fully-fashion by help of CAs and automatic forwarding of CAs to an imported pattern.
Other benefits include; patterning with Stoll-Ikat plating technique; patterning with Stoll-weave in technique and support of importing GKS patterns.
“The GKS software tool is user-friendly and easy to handle for manufacturing cut templates and their grading,” a Stoll press release informed.
“A modern and intuitive surface guarantees a user-friendly work and with the push of a button a first prototype can be created and changed optionally,” it said.
Additionally all grading formulas can be modified; all form modules are already predefined; different individual cut possibilities are producible and finally uploaded pictures can be used as template in the background.
Especially engineered for knitters, Stoll enables a further main standard in the knitting production for agile and innovative companies with the Production Planning System (PPS).
The knitting development and knitting production are implemented and optimised in one system with a platform independent technique.
“Furthermore, the Stoll-PPS provides quick and smooth production times, essential for the fast change of markets,” the company stated.
In ergonomic user interface, its new developed modern user interface allows a uniform look and feel and the surface is divided into operator functions and user groups.
With a good usability the handling is mostly intuitive; therefore short training periods are possible, while the new surface offers a quick clear view with all important information for the operator and the manager.
The Knit and Wear Technique Templates on the other hand contain a catalogue of pattern examples for knit and wear solutions.
“Among other things here wedge knitting forms, shoulder technique, widening and narrowing technique are explained,” the company informed.
Application and operation of each solution are demonstrated with text and pictures and the special knit and wear solutions can be transferred and adjusted with copy-paste into own pattern creations. (AR)
