Zalando to open new fulfilment hub in Italy

Zalando SE, the Europe's leading online fashion platform, has announced that it will open a new fulfilment hub at Nogarole Rocca in Italy. The facility will strengthen the company’s service offered to the Italian customers and will speed up deliveries in neighbouring markets like South European market. It will also create over 1,000 new jobs in the region.
The potential of the Italian market and its proximity to Southern European countries are two of the factors behind the choice of Italy for the next central hub. The new fulfilment hub will cover a logistic area of around 1,30,000 square metres, similar to the existing central hubs in Germany and Poland.
The construction work is expected to start in spring of the year 2018. Vailog, a real estate development and investment company specialised in logistics, will develop the fulfilment hub. (VM)
