Arvind Mills to develop US Polo brand flagship stores

U.S Polo Assn announced new licensing agreement with Arvind Mills Ltd to design and distribute U.S. Polo branded sportswear and accessories, as well as to develop U.S Polo Assn. brand flagship stores in India. This partnership will bring to India a true American Lifestyle brand.

"Arvind Brands has the skill, business acumen, experience and infrastructure to successfully introduce and develop the U.S. Polo Assn. Brand in retail by establishing the U.S.Polo Assn. Brand retail stores throughout India.” said David Cummings, CEO at U.S. Polo Assn. Brand.
“ARVIND BRANDS is excited and eager to be working with the U.S. Polo Association - the official governing body for the sport of polo in the United States since 1890,” said Sanjay Lalbhai, Chairman and Managing Director of ARVIND Mills LTD.
Adding further he said “We look forward to offering a line of Classic American Styling that captures the true spirit of the sport of polo. India has been associated with polo for centuries, and the Calcutta Polo Club is the oldest active Polo Club in the world.”
With a presence in every major cities of the world, U.S. Polo Assn has turnover in excess of $ 1 billion across all categories. U.S. Polo Assn retails Men's, Women's, and Children's sportswear, dress clothing and accessories such as socks, neckwear, hats and bags, and small leather goods.
U.S Polo Assn has 35 stand alone retail stores and a U.S. Polo Assn denim store with a network of Master Licensees, Direct Licensees, and Sub-Licensees which totals over 60 individual partners
U.S. Polo brand is available in about 6,000 individual retail accounts, including Shop-in-shops with key retail partners across the world.
