A.T.E makes denim fabric processing go green

Dec '12
The denim industry is typically a guzzler of water.  It also uses a significant quantity of chemicals in its processes and consumes a vast amount of energy in its operations. Denim and green, therefore, have long been mutually contradictory terms.

But not any more – thanks to the path- breaking innovations in sustainable manufacturing of denims by a few leading denim garment machinery manufacturers around the world, such as Yilmak Makina (Turkey); Celikhan Makina (Turkey); VAV Technology (Germany) and Dr Aykan Textiles (Turkey).

A.T.E. has tied-up with these leading technology leaders to provide to the Indian denim garment manufacturers various eco-friendly technologies that enable large savings in water, energy and chemicals. These eco-friendly technologies will thus help in conserving natural resources and also help to minimize the pollution of water bodies.

With the leading brands across the globe more and more eco-conscious in their choice of suppliers, A.T.E. hopes that these technologies brought to the Indian garment manufacturers will help them win markets for their products.
Here is an overview of the principals represented by A.T.E. in the denim garment space.

Yilmak Makina, Turkey
A part of the world renowned Yilteks group and recognized as a pioneer in washing, Yilmak provides a wide range of eco-friendly machines, which covers garment dyeing & washing machines, tumbler dryers, hydro extractors & a complete range of dry processing machines such as spraying cabins, curing ovens, scraping & brushing robots & 3-D wrinkle machines & apparatus. Its latest A6 Organic Wash machine epitomizes advanced technology in washing range.  Besides saving about 50% process time, the machine is environment friendly as the washing process is organic and uses no chemical in making effects or bleaching.

VAV Technology, Germany
