Shree Balaji pleased with Stalam-Deyi soft package winder

Shree Balaji Yarns & Textiles (SBYT), a greenfield facility for yarn dyeing set up in 2012, purchased a Stalam-Deyi soft package winder from A.T.E Enterprises, marketers of the winders in India.

“SBYT's yarn is used to make products like shawls, stoles, scarfs and blankets,” a statement from the Mumbai based textile machinery marketer said.

Soon after the launch of Stalam-Deyi soft winders in India during ITME 2012, SBYT undertook extensive trials with different kinds of yarns on a pilot machine.

This led them to go in for a winder with 108 spindles and according to A.T.E, this first installation of Stalam-Deyi's soft package winder in India, is working exceptionally well.

According to A.T.E, the Stalam-Deyi soft package winder at SBYT offers improved productivity, as an average speed of 1,000 RPM could be achieved on almost all types of yarn.

“This helped increasing the productivity by 20 per cent over other similar soft package winder machines at SBYT,” A.T.E added.

“The density within each package, and also from package to package are uniform and there is also consistency in shape of yarn packages and the edges are soft,” it informed.

“I am extremely happy with the performance of the Stalam-Deyi soft package winding machine in terms of productivity and quality,” said Manish Mehra, managing director of Shree Balaji Yarns.

“The yarn dyeing business in India is progressing, and A.T.E. has brought the right technology to our market,” Mehra too added.

Mohinder Attri – VP (Technical) also said, “The machine requires very little maintenance and we have not ordered a single spare part since the installation two years back,”

“Also, the reproducibility is much better as compared to other machines in our set-up,” Attri informed.

Stalam-Deyi is a well-established brand in China for soft winders and re-winders, supplying around 3,000 spindles per month.

Stalam-Deyi is also fast establishing its footprint in other countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Thailand, Indonesia, etc.

Stalam Deyi Manufacturing Co is a joint venture between Shanghai Deyi Machinery Mfg. Co. Ltd., China and Stalam, Italy.

Stalam Deyi has also entered into collaboration with Simet S.R.L. Italy, and manufactures both soft package and re-winders with the technical guidance from Simet. (AR)
