Eyewear make fashion statement on streets

There seems to be a lot of men wearing glasses on the streets these days. Perhaps working in front of the computer everyday has finally affected their eyesight, or they are just living up to the image many foreigners have of Japanese as being very serious and nerdy. Both assumptions are wrong.

The reasons for glasses being worn by many is due to the new trend. Since early this year, Japan came to see many celebrities wearing glasses as a fashion item and this has come to be accepted as the new smart & sexy look.

The preppy taste that has gradually seeped into the society had played some part in the new trends for eyewear, but the overall trend in fashion changing from the American casual to clean cut looks have been a great support.

Eyewear stores cannot only compete with services such as speed, brands, and technicality of their products. They are now in a position to compete with the styles and fashionable looking products. They are no longer an item that aids you, but an accessory.

Eyewear retailers are now working at offering differentiated services such as having a nail artist decorate one's glasses. Price is no longer a big factor when it comes to these products but the occasions and variety are.

Users are now wearing different glasses for work, outings, and for parties. Each different eyewear gives one a different image thereby wearing a different one for a different occasion would allow them to play each part effectively.
