Zentrix achieve reduced WIP & Lead Times with FastReact

Zentrix is a company devoted to garment design and manufacture, with 14 years experience in the production of swimsuits, sportswear and intimate apparel for brands such as adidas,Speedo, Anne Cole, Nautica, Calvin Klein, Cole of California, Catalina, Warner's and many others.
As a vertically integrated manufacturer, their main processes include fabric development and production (through their sister company Assatex), printing, garment design & development,sourcing and warehousing of trims and fabrics, cutting and special applications, sewing, final inspection and shipment.
Zentrix have the capacity to produce over 30 million garments per year, with over 6,900 sewing machines and employing over 5,000 people.
The Environment
Having invested significantly in state of the art equipment and machinery, the ethos of Zentrix is also to utilise leading edge technology to gain the maximum return. Zentrix selected a Microsoft Dynamics AXAPTA business system which has bi-directional integration with FastReact to give clear visibility of the entire production process. Combining modern equipment with the latest technology in a fully integrated environment, Zentrix can offer unparalleled design & production speed and high levels of customer service.
The Solution
FastReact offers a high level of visibility and coordination for garment and textile businesses in both the internal supply chain and in a sourcing environment. Zentrix has implemented FastReact with remarkable results.These include a reduction in lead times of over 45%, with a corresponding reduction in work in progress. Its strong graphical approach and ease of use, together with its ability to manipulate large amounts of planning data very rapidly, provides a powerful tool for users and management alike.
Oscar González, Director of Operations at Zentrix, commented “Our internal supply chain has reduced from 7 weeks to 4 weeks and will reduce by a further week in the near future. We could not have achieved this reduction without FastReact. The savings to date include 1.5M fewer garments in work in progress alone.
