45 newcomer collections to display at The Gallery Berlin

Featuring for the first time will be the area NOT COUTURE · HOT COUTURE. FASHION MEETS LIFESTYLE with 45 newcomer collections from the accessories, living and beauty segments exhibited on the ground floor of the venue in Berlin Mitte.

BERLIN – MOSCOW Axis of Fashion

Four young designers from Russia will be showcasing their fashion at the ›Opernwerkstätten‹ in Berlin for the first time now.

Lilia Kisselenko, Aika AIemi, Lena Tsokalenko and Ülle Pohjanheimo were part of the Designer Pool – a sponsoring scheme by the Igedo Company that enables young designers to take part on two occasions in CPM – Collection Première Moscow – and this scheme has now become the springboard for a new presentation platform.

DESIGN. MADE IN POLAND

The second day of the event is all about Poland and enjoys the patronage of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Germany, Dr. Jerzey Marganski. Kicking off the event will be a Polish-German Fashion Talk about “Perspectives of Cooperation in the Fashion and Textile Industries” organised by the Trade and Investment Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland.

At 3.00 pm Poland’s best-known designer Dawid Tomaszewski – who has volunteered to act as a mentor for seven young designers Lab 25 · Ania Migacz-Lesinska · Dvorus · Magdalena Koziej · Paulina PikieL · Ewa Zwolinska und NÜ BY Tokarska – will open the first Polish Show of Lódz Fashion Week.

Thanks to a cooperation with the Polish Institute in Berlin two fashion shows will feature the following ten promising Polish designers who were scouted at HushWarsaw: Confashion · Dreamnation · Herzlich Willkommen · Joanna Hawrot · Mariusz Przybylski · Messo · Navada · Numer · Wearso · Puch.

SHOPPING NIGHT

The second day of The Gallery Berlin will see the segment NOT COUTURE · HOT COUTURE. FASHION MEETS LIFESTYLE open its doors to a wider audience for the first time. In this segment of the fashion trade show visitors will find over 45 newcomer collections designed by talents from the fashion, accessories, living and beauty segments on the ground floor of the Opernwerkstätten venue.

This means that for the first time ever end users will be given the opportunity, from 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm, to purchase extraordinary fragrances, hand-crafted living and lifestyle accessories as well as the latest fashion trend items at this Shopping Night. The extended show day of The Gallery Berlin will close on a get-together – Igedo & Friends – where key accounts, exhibitors and journalists can meet to exchange and network.

LET THE SHOWS BEGIN

Kicking off the catwalk shows on the first day will be the runway presentations by Xess&Baba – Nix Berlin - Aline (CELI), Göttin Des Glücks, Aline Celi, Hut Up, Christine Birkle, Prototyp Schumache, Julia Starp and Battenberg-Cartwright presented by Showfloor Berliln @ The Gallery Berlin.

From Wednesday Igedo will take over as runway director to present not only the shows featuring Eastern Europe but also an overview of the contemporary fashion und design collections in the Gallery Selected Shows.

“This is Berlin” stages young creations by Nemona, a group of designers from Berlin in January 2014.
