Japanese firm YKK explores opening office in Uzbekistan

Japanese company YKK recently discussed with the Uztuqimachiliksanoat (Uzbekistan Textile Industry) Association the possibility of opening an office in Uzbekistan and creating a joint venture of textile accessories and fittings. The Uzbek association recently hosted a meeting with a delegation of YKK, which specializes in production of textile accessories.

The company also had discussions with manufacturers of sewing and knitted products in the Namangan region, an Uzbek portal reported quoting an association press release.

YKK Corporation operates in more than 70 countries with production facilities in six countries in Europe and Central Asia. (DS)
