Jindal Cotex to set up technical textile projects in Una

Jindal Cotex Ltd has informed that M/s. Jindal Medicot Ltd. & M/s. Jindal Speciality Textiles Ltd., wholly owned subsidiaries of the Company are setting up their technical textile projects at Tehsil Amb, Distt Una under the Textile Park. The proposed textile park will be set up under Himachal Textile Park Ltd.
Jindal Medicot Ltd. & Jindal Speciality Textiles Ltd. will hold majority of shareholding in Himachal Textile Park Ltd. The proposed projects of the subsidiaries are likely to start their commercial production before March, 2011.
Jindal Cotex Limited (JCL) is a flagship company of Jindal group of Ludhiana. Ludhiana is an industrial hub of Punjab which is also known as Manchester of India. The Jindal Group was promoted by Sh. Jagdish Rai Jindal in 1977 with trading business of iron and steel. From the time of its inception, Jindal Group has seen substantial growth.
