The addition of a pavilion from Taiwan at this year’s Intertextile Pavilion at the Shenzhen International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics and Accessories confirms the growing interest in the potential of the Southern China market. It will feature alongside the India and Korea Pavilions which return after the success these exhibitors had at last year’s fair. The 2014 edition will take place from 10 to 12 July 2014 at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, and cover 30,000 sqm of exhibition space.

Visitors to the fair can find a wide range of high-quality fabrics for ladieswear, casual wear and suiting, as well as knits, lace & embroideries, accessories, and a range of yarns & fibres. The Taiwan Pavilion, featuring 12 suppliers, will showcase knitted and functional fabrics, as well as lace & embroideries.

The Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), organiser of the pavilion, explained their reasons for exhibiting at the fair. “Since Shenzhen is an important base for producing women’s apparel and there are many well-known Chinese brands there, we are optimistic about the market potential and the performance of this fair,” outlined Jane Fang, Project Manager at TTF.

M.J.T-Ming Jenn Co Ltd, supplier of jacquard fabrics, features in this year’s Taiwan Pavilion. Their three-dimensional jacquard fabrics have a ‘European Court’ style and also feature totem pole designs to create a highly unique look. They will also showcase their new geometric art style of fabrics at the fair for the first time.

Oriental Kingdom Lace will also take part in the Taiwan Pavilion and have their finger on the pulse of the latest embroidered fabrics trends. They have developed four main design themes when creating their products for the upcoming season: Geometry Lines, Flowery Patterns, Kid’s Fun and Classic vs Modern. This year they have also introduced a new concept design of ‘Evolution, Purification and Beautification' with a focus on producing innovative textile products combining embroidered art and eco-friendly elements.

Exhibitors in Korea Pavilion optimistic about Southern China market
Companies participating in the Korea Pavilion are confident of what the fair and the Southern China region can offer them. “We are building up our retail and sales channels in China, primarily focusing on Shenzhen where there are many female clothing brands,” explained Ms An Ji-You Team Manager from AM Company.
