Pure Shanghai, the fashion event bringing international brands to China, has confirmed an impressive line-up of British and international brands for its debut show, winning the support of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

The eagerly anticipated event, which has been borne out of the success of the well-established Pure London show, will take place from October 20-22, 2014 at Shanghai’s New International Expo Centre, Pudong.

In showing their support for British brands at Pure Shanghai, the UKTI will provide a series of on-site features, further heightening opportunities for British brands to reach Chinese markets. These features include the GREAT Business Lounge and an exclusive drinks reception, offering high-value business matchmaking and valuable networking opportunities for brands and visitors alike. The UKTI British Showcase will include leading brands Fever London, Charli London, Almost Famous London, Cici London and Sam Ubhi.

In a bid to expand business across international borders, over 50 British and international brands will join Chinese designers, promising to present buyers, agents and distributors with a diverse mix of labels in a carefully edited buying environment.

Joining the line-up of confirmed British brands, which includes the likes of Little White Lies, Jones + Jones, Ness, Jolie Queen and Cocoa Cashmere, Danish brand Edith & Ella, Korean collections Choi Boko, Atelier Love Paris, Abraham K Hangul and Israeli brands Mirit Weinstock, Duende Fashion and Maya Bash have also now confirmed their attendance at the show, giving it a truly international feel.

In addition, contemporary Dutch ready-to-wear brand PIT Amsterdam, Hong-Kong brands Ziztar and Alexis Jordan Designs, Italian brands Duecci, Bonino, Cepparulo, Flannel Bay, and Bencivenga, along with accessory brand Lucien, presented by Thomas Enterprises, will also all be showcasing their latest collections at the event.

With these new international additions, there are now nearly 30 brands already confirmed for this niche branded fashion event which aims to help participants access the £98bn Chinese fashion sector as they look to open up wholesale, licensing and distribution opportunities.

Commenting on the addition of these international brands to the Pure Shanghai roster, Katy Roberts, event manager for the show, said: “The brand list for Pure Shanghai is looking really strong and it is great that it now includes so many international names as well as lots of key British brands.

“The strength of the brand list is testament to the fact that brands have come to trust the Pure name and see us the best possible partner with which to explore possibilities the Chinese domestic market presents.”
