Teijin exhibiting at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market

Teijin Frontier will exhibit a wide range of functional materials for sports and outdoor wear at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2016, which takes place in Salt Lake City, USA from August 3-6 on stand MR 150C.

“The highly functional fabric materials offer excellent combinations of performance, appearance and texture for sports and outdoor use,” the Teijin Group subsidiary said.

Among the products on display is the Deltapeak, which is a next-generation fabric, which integrates physical properties, functionality and quality on a highly advanced level.

“Soft, durable and stretchable, it also offers ultraviolet protection, anti-transparency and snag resistance due to its dense, flat-knit surface,” the company added.

Another is the Octa Neo, which is a multilayer sheath-core fibre that combines Octa hollow, eight-fin polyester fibres at its core and other chemical or natural-staple fibres in the sheath.

In addition to the bulkiness and moisture management of Octa, it can offer a versatile range of other properties or textures based on the fibres chosen for its sheath.

One more material, the high-tenacity Pasmo polyester achieves superior comfort and body support with a tensile strength that is 1.5 times greater than that of conventional materials.

The Teijin Frontier stand also will exhibit partially bio-derived polytrimethylene terephthalate fibres like Solotex, which are exceptionally soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and durable. (AR)
