The Warnaco Group Inc announced the appointment of Jay Dubiner as Senior Vice President (SVP), General Counsel & Secretary. Mr. Dubiner will oversee the Company's worldwide legal matters in addition to acting as Corporate Secretary. He will report directly to Joe Gromek, President and Chief Executive Officer of Warnaco.
Mr. Dubiner joins Warnaco from Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP, where he was Of Counsel and provided legal counsel to public and private corporations on a variety of domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing transactions and corporate governance issues.
Previously, Mr. Dubiner held the position of Executive Vice President, Corporate Development & General Counsel for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc, where he was responsible for the Company's legal department, including overseeing corporate governance, litigation, licensing, intellectual property matters and compliance and the Company's corporate development activities.
Prior to Martha Stewart, he held the position of Senior Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Planning at a division of The Universal Music Group. In this position Mr. Dubiner had a lead role in corporate and business development and strategic planning, in addition to legal matters.
