Malaysia : Cheetah’s focus on diversification

The Malaysian company Cheetah Holdings Bhd is involved in designing, product development, marketing and retailing of sports apparel, accessories and casual wear.

This company is about acquire a local company and is also eyeing for another one possessing international brand's trademark license.

The company plans to focus on acquisition and diversification of businesses with a hope to increase its 40 percent profits.

Cheetah invested about RM700,000 and acquired a stake of 75 percent in Above Fashion House Sdn Bhd to venture into retailing and distribution of ladies' accessories.

The company also signed a trade mark licence agreement with UK-based Woolworths Plc and acquired exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute Ladybird merchandise in Malaysia and Singapore.

Cheetah currently has over 500 counters nationwide.
