UK : Woolworths selects ATG to fuel truly multi-channel shopping experiences

Art Technology Group Inc (ATG), the top-ranked eCommerce platform vendor, announced that Woolworths, one of the UK's biggest retailers, is deploying additional ATG software to power its online storefront and call center operations.
Using ATG applications such as ATG Commerce Assist and ATG Outreach, Woolworths will be able to offer an even stronger multi-channel experience to its customers.
Woolworths already had a comprehensive commerce platform from ATG. With the added ATG Commerce Assist application, the company is further unifying its web and call center environments, enabling contact center agents to create and manage online orders for customers.
ATG Outreach will help Woolworths gain a richer understanding of customers through their web interactions, preferences and behaviors, and this insight as a basis to create more relevant, compelling, and personalized e-mail and proactive customer service campaigns.
Woolworths aims to offer its customers value-for-money on an extended range of products. In today's competitive environment, Woolworths also wanted to extend the ways it reaches out to customers.
In making its operations truly multi-channel, the retailer has turned to ATG to better its ecommerce site and increase the number of touch points consumers have with the company.
"We are constantly looking to improve our service and offerings to customers and provide them with relevant and rich experiences," said Andrew Harber, head of strategy and channel systems at Woolworths.
